Google I/O – Android N Developer Preview release

Google is pushing there 3rd beta for the android N developer preview, which is going to be buggy software, like other release this is also going to be OTA update

Apart from the usual battery performance improvements and other fixes, this release brings with a new update mechanism that emulates the one used in Chrome OS. Basically, whenever a new software update is available, your device will automatically download it in the background, and then automatically install when you boot up your phone or tablet.

No more notifications telling you that an update is available it all happening in the background, and no need that you want to download and install. It will be a much more seamless process, and booting up after an update is applied should be faster than it used to be too, due to this the “android upgrading” screen is gone.

To get into the Android N developer preview game, just sign up a compatible device on this page. The Android N Developer Preview is available for the Nexus 6, 9, 5X, 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel C tablet, and the General Mobile 4G Android One phone.
